Job summary

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Principal Architect - Data Centers in San Francisco, CA. Lead client programs, oversee studio operations, and drive growth with strategic initiatives across markets.

You will manage staffing, budgets, and cross-market collaboration while maintaining strong client relationships and advancing business development initiatives within the Client Programs Market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
• Licensed professional (preferred).
• Experience leading large-scale business operations and studio-wide financial management.
• Proven ability to lead diverse studio groups and manage strategic initiatives.
• Experience in business development, proposals, RFPs, and client relationships.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and build project teams for design, technical, and management excellence.
• Lead new client acquisition and annual revenue targets.
• Manage project team performance and delivery within budgets.
• Set strategic direction for the design studio and implement RO B processes.
• Lead cross-market collaboration and growth of regional design practices.
• Oversee risk management, proposals, and firm-wide strategic initiatives.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Guide internal learning, development, and staff growth.
