Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Antenna Test Engineer to join our Central Virginia manufacturing Test Engineering Team. You will design and integrate RF test equipment for phased array testing, develop automation software, and troubleshoot complex RF systems in a fast-paced environment. The role requires active U.S.

Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, with opportunities to mentor technicians and collaborate with design engineers on hardware improvements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related STEM with 2+ years experience; or M.S. with 1+ years.
• Experience with electrical/RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
• Professional software development using C#, Visual Basic, MATLAB.
• Current, active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design antenna test equipment for factory phased array testing.
• Integrate new equipment and programs in a state-of-the-art facility.
• Test software and test equipment related to phased array testing.
• Develop software to automate tests and analyze data.
• Troubleshoot RF issues during tests.
• Support technicians with troubleshooting and training.
• Analyze test data and identify trends.
• Assist in root cause/corrective action discussions with programs.
• Collaborate with design engineering for hardware/test improvements.
• Maintain cost, schedule and quality per Northrop Grumman policies.
