Job summary

Akamai Inference Cloud is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to own the security posture of a globally distributed AI inference platform. You will drive security architecture across Kubernetes infrastructure, runtimes, APIs, and model lifecycle pipelines from a security-first perspective.

You will lead threat modeling, establish standards, and enforce security controls while addressing AI-specific challenges such as model safety, isolation, and adversarial resilience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in security engineering or architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise across application, infrastructure, and cloud-native security.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the security architecture spanning Kubernetes, inference runtimes, APIs, and model pipelines.
• Establish threat models, security standards, and hardening guidelines across platform teams.
• Lead security design reviews for model serving environments and multi-tenant isolation.
