Job summary

Citizens is seeking a Principal AI Security Engineer to lead security-focused design and development across AI-powered systems. You will guide cross-functional teams, implement robust controls, and ensure secure integration with enterprise systems.

The role emphasizes safeguarding the full AI lifecycle—from data ingestion to deployment—while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability within the security function.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of working experience in data intensive applications or data engineering.
• Excellent understanding of AI/ML patterns and techniques.
• Experience with API’s and cloud development.
• Understanding of python and at least one other programming language.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on solution design ideation with architecture teams.
• Develop and implement software solutions with secure AI components.
• Build scalable, maintainable distributed service-based designs.
• Incorporate security testing and vulnerability mitigation in SDLC.
• Lead incident response for AI systems and monitor for anomalies.
