Mastercard is seeking a Principal AI Security Engineer to define and advance the enterprise AI security strategy. You will lead scalable security architectures, drive innovation, and mentor senior technical practitioners across the organization.

This role focuses on protecting AI systems, models, and data at scale with risk‑aware design. You will partner with engineering, data science, product, and security teams to implement secure AI development and compliance with evolving standards and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Security, AI, or related field.
• Extensive information security leadership at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in AI technologies, ML systems, LLMs, AI agents and data security.
• Proven ability to define security strategy, architectures and governance.
• Strong AI security threat modeling and adversarial ML knowledge.
• Influence security standards across diverse engineering teams.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise AI security architecture strategy and patterns.
• Drive assessment frameworks for AI models, agents and deployments.
• Embed security-by-design in AI lifecycle with cross-functional partners.
• Influence internal security standards and governance models.
• Research threats and guide roadmap for security innovations.
• Present risk assessments and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Mentor security engineers and architects across teams.
• Lead POC efforts and security experiments for AI tech.
