Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Software Automation/Test Engineer to drive quality at scale for cloud security products. You will architect tooling platforms, leverage AI for automation, and lead efforts to build agentic workflows.

You’ll influence architecture, guide senior engineers, and help scale testing across complex distributed systems. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, production‑ready solutions and shape the future of our Cortex Cloud testing

Qualifications

9+ years in software tooling or infrastructure engineering in large-scale enterprises or high-growth startups.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Proven experience leveraging AI/ML technologies (LLMs, agentic frameworks, prompt engineering).
Deep understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience designing complex tooling frameworks from scratch with scalability in mind.
Proficiency with Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of distributed systems and tooling for SaaS products.
