Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Automation/Test Engineer to lead testing efforts for Next-Gen Firewall Cloud Security across public and private clouds. You will join a world-class QA team focused on automation and AI-powered quality improvements.

You will build and run functional tests, automate scenarios in virtualized environments, and collaborate with development and product teams to ensure high-quality cloud security products for customers.

Qualifications

12+ years of related experience in QA for networking or security.
Deep understanding of testing methodologies and functional testing.
Experience testing firewall or network security appliances.
Proven track record building autonomous testing systems or AI-powered QA tools.
Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and REST APIs.
Proficient in Linux and open source tools; Python scripting.
MSEE/CS or BS/CS in Networking/Security, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Scoping, test case creation and maintenance, feature, regression, execution, and automation.
Collaborate with Product Management, Software, and Quality Engineering to deliver cloud security products.
Perform functional testing of VM/CN firewalls and Cloud NGFW across cloud providers.
Drive automation within cross-functional teams to achieve release excellence.
Develop tools and infrastructure to improve testing efficiency.
Work with support and field teams to improve end-customer outcomes.
Learn and implement test cases for customer deployment scenarios.
