Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly motivated Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Strata Cloud Manager QA team. This role focuses on shaping testing strategy for a scalable, public cloud platform that manages Palo Alto Networks security solutions.

You will lead QA efforts, build autonomous testing tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in writing test plans and test cases with a strong understanding of SDET methodologies, tools, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Experience developing test automation for REST APIs using Python/Pytest.
• UI automation/testing experience using Selenium/JavaScript/Playwright.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Proven track record of building autonomous testing systems or AI-powered quality engineering tools.
• Experience testing Cloud Management platforms and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with TCP/IP Networking and Network/Cloud Security.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the SQA strategy for the Strata Cloud Manager QA team.
• Build and maintain autonomous testing systems leveraging AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure quality across releases.
• Lead QA initiatives for a scalable, multi-tenant public cloud platform.
