Job summary

Teradata Corporation (SE) is seeking a principal engineer to lead innovation in agentic AI. You will architect production-grade AI systems, design secure agent platforms, and drive scalable multi-agent frameworks across large-enterprise environments.

You will collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and platform teams to push the boundaries of autonomous AI while ensuring safety, observability, and governance across deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience designing and deploying intelligent agents at scale.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, AI architectures, and security considerations.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Architect foundational components for production-grade AI systems—from agent frameworks and LLM pipelines to observability and evaluation layers.
• Build secure, scalable frameworks for autonomous AI agents and agent management with governance and compliance.
• Collaborate with product leaders, architects, and platform teams to define the next-generation agent platform.
• Define and lead the technical roadmap for agent management—from discovery to orchestration and retirement.
• Ensure AI agents are secure by design, with visibility, accountability, and guardrails baked in.
• Work with AI researchers, platform engineers, and product managers to bring cutting-edge agentic capabilities to production environments.
• Build foundational infrastructure to support multi-agent collaboration, memory/context management, and extensibility.
• Drive adoption of AI agents across the enterprise by enabling easy integration and safe execution.
• Serve as a thought leader on best practices for agent safety, observability, performance, and ethical deployment.
