Job summary

Teradata Corporation is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of autonomous AI agents within the Teradata AI Studio platform. You will architect agent frameworks, memory and orchestration systems, and secure, observable pipelines in production environments.

You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product managers to push cutting-edge agentic capabilities at enterprise scale and across cloud and on-prem deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, backend systems, or AI infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of autonomous agent frameworks and AI orchestration models.
• Experience building secure, scalable agent platforms and governance practices.
• Proficiency with cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable frameworks for autonomous AI agents.
• Define and lead the technical roadmap for agent management from discovery to retirement.
• Ensure agents are secure by design with visibility and guardrails.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product managers to bring agentic capabilities to production.
