Job summary

Teradata Corporation is seeking a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead development of our next-generation platform powering autonomous, AI-driven agents. You will guide data science and engineering teams, shape strategy, and ensure production-ready, scalable solutions.

You will partner with product, research, and infrastructure teams to design APIs, vector stores, and RAG pipelines, while driving cloud-native practices and security across the platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science with leadership experience.
• Experience building large distributed systems or cloud platforms in production.
• Strong backend and cloud infrastructure knowledge.
• Hands-on with AI/ML platforms, LLMs, and data science workflows.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform.
• Define capabilities such as predictive modeling, memory, planning, and multi-agent collaboration.
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways and data pipelines.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and infrastructure for scalable agent execution.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing backend and data science team.
• Ensure alignment with AI product lines and downstream applications.
• Drive reliability, security, and observability across the platform.
• Shape long-term vision for agentic workflows powered by data science.
