Taxwell seeks a Principal AI Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of AI-powered systems across the company. You will shape architecture, set standards, and enable teams to build effectively with AI.

You will drive production-grade AI platforms, RAG systems, and customer-facing AI capabilities while ensuring reliability, explainability, and compliance in a regulated domain.

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years operating at Principal- or Staff-level roles.
• Proven experience designing and deploying production AI systems used by real users.
• Strong hands-on experience with LLM-enabled systems, including prompt engineering, RAG, and agent orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience integrating AI systems with real-world applications, workflows, and data sources.
• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding techniques (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma).
• Experience deploying and operating systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong architectural judgment and the ability to balance experimentation with production rigor.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build AI-powered tools that improve productivity across engineering and non-engineering teams.
• Develop internal AI platforms, shared services, and reusable components for safe AI-powered applications.
• Build and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems grounded in internal data.
• Partner with DevOps, platform, and security teams to ensure scalable, observable, secure, and compliant AI systems.
• Embed AI capabilities into Taxwell products to improve accuracy and user outcomes.
• Architect and build AI-native products where AI is core differentiator, not add-on.
• Work with product, design, and tax experts to translate user problems into AI solutions.
• Ensure AI features meet reliability, explainability, and trust standards in a regulated domain.
