Job summary

Discovery Land Company seeks a Principal AI Engineer to lead the AI program from strategy to production. You will co-own the AI roadmap with the VP of AI, define reference architecture across agents and MCP integrations, and drive engineering standards for secure, scalable AI solutions.

You will mentor engineers, own product delivery with cross-functional teams, and push adoption with training and documentation in a fast-paced private-club environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined software engineering and product management experience.
• Experience shipping LLM-based products or internal tools to production.
• Hands-on production experience with Claude and the Anthropic ecosystem (Claude Code, Claude API, MCP, Agent Skills).
• Strong experience with the Microsoft 365 stack: Entra ID, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph API, Power Automate, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Set Technical Direction and Standards: co-own AI strategy and roadmaps with VP AI.
• Define and own AI reference architecture across agents, integrations, retrieval, and automation.
• Enforce engineering standards for evaluation, logging, guardrails, security, and code review.
