Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a senior AI leadership role to guide enterprise AI enablement and automation initiatives. You will own the intake, prioritization, and delivery of AI use-cases and drive adoption across business units.

Job description

• Lead the enterprise AI enablement strategy and operating model
• Own the AIM function for AI use-case intake, prioritization, and enablement
• Lead the Automate function and scale process automation and intelligent automation capabilities
• Redesign operating models where AI can create step-change value
• Move priority opportunities from concept through pilot, adoption, measurement, and scale
• Prioritize candidate processes, support delivery, and track automation ROI
• Build AI literacy and enablement programs across the business
• Own organizational enablement for AI-driven transformation, including leadership education, manager enablement, talent implications, change management, communications, and feedback loops
• Own AI-adoption metrics in the enterprise transformation scorecard
• Establish business cases, value hypotheses, success measures, and stage gates for priority AI initiatives
• Partner with Finance and business owners to track realized value and inform investment, scaling, or sunset decisions
• Represent AI enablement in steering committee and governance forums
• Build leadership bench strength across AIM and Automate teams
• Manage a multi-team organization spanning both functions
• Partner with Business Architecture, Process Excellence, and Product Management leaders to align AI and automation investment with enterprise priorities
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align AI-enabled transformation with GuideWell’s enterprise strategy

Requirements

• 10+ years’ related work experience in AI/ML enablement, intelligent automation, RPA, or digital/technology transformation
• Direct experience leading teams that deliver AI or automation solutions at enterprise scale
• Experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or AI/data roles with progressively senior scope
• 5+ years’ direct supervisory/management experience
• Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Track record owning the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from strategy and business case through delivery, governance, adoption, and realized value
• Experience building or scaling an AI portfolio as a managed investment
• Experience hiring and developing technical/analytical teams
• Experience building an intake, prioritization, and delivery pipeline for AI or automation use cases in a large, complex, matrixed organization
• Working knowledge of responsible-AI practices, including data governance, model risk, and human-in-the-loop design
• Ability to translate technical AI and automation concepts for senior business stakeholders
• Ability to translate business problems into scoped, deliverable AI or automation use cases
• Ability to set and enforce responsible-use guardrails
• Ability to work fluently across technical AI/data teams and executive/business stakeholders
• Responsible AI, AI ethics, and risk management literacy, including bias, privacy, and security
• Experience defining and tracking AI-adoption metrics
• Portfolio and investment governance experience, including trade-offs, reinvestment logic, and value realization
• Comfort operating in ambiguity
