Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced HR AI Lead to define and own the HR AI roadmap aligned to business strategy. You will identify and prioritize AI use cases across recruitment, analytics, and case management, translating emerging AI capabilities into practical HR applications.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, ensure AI readiness of HCM and knowledge systems, and establish governance frameworks while safeguarding data privacy and compliance. Hybrid onsite in North Carolina is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in AI, emerging technology, and risk & compliance.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing AI.

• Define and own the HR AI roadmap aligned to broader business and HR strategy
• Identify, prioritize, and build business cases for AI use cases, including employee self-service, recruitment, workforce analytics, and case management
• Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical HR applications
• Drive end-to-end delivery of HR AI initiatives from concept through deployment and scaling
• Partner with HR systems teams to ensure HCM, case management, and knowledge systems are AI-ready
• Oversee implementation of AI-enabled copilots, chatbots, and workflow automation
• Ensure HR data, processes, and systems support AI and automation
• Define requirements for data quality, taxonomy, and knowledge management to enable AI agents
• Collaborate with enterprise AI and data teams on integration and scalability
• Establish and maintain HR AI governance frameworks
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, employment law, and AI regulations
• Implement ethical AI principles, including bias mitigation and transparency
• Partner with Legal, Risk, and InfoSec on AI controls and policies
• Drive adoption of AI solutions across HR teams and end users
• Support change management, training, and communications
• Build AI capability within HR through upskilling, guidance, and best practices
• Track performance and ROI of AI initiatives
• Stay current on AI trends and assess relevance to HR
• Continuously evolve the HR AI strategy based on outcomes and new technologies

Requirements

• Relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in AI, emerging technology, and risk & compliance
• Proven track record in developing and implementing AI
• Experience working cross-functionally with legal, compliance, risk, IT, and business teams to embed ethical and regulatory standards into AI initiatives
• Minimum 3 days a week onsite
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship
