Zillow’s AI Org develops agentic AI-powered experiences for real estate professionals and buyers. As a Principal Software Engineer on the Transaction AI team, you will shape architecture and drive engineering strategy across backend and data infrastructure.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to deliver scalable services, mentor teams, and champion high-quality code and guidelines while advancing the company’s agentic AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production-grade software experience.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Familiarity with ML product development cycle and eagerness to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists, engineering, design, and research to design, prototype, and implement AI systems.
• Lead small groups to build POCs and test new agentic experiences and infrastructure.
• Set the tone for software development culture with code reviews and guidelines.
