Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, based in Evanston, IL, seeks a Sr. Manager, AI Portfolio to lead enterprise AI governance, portfolio management, and adoption strategies enabling responsible AI use across ULRI and ULSE.

You will partner with leaders to align AI initiatives with strategy, monitor lifecycle, and drive value realization while fostering enterprise AI literacy and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/AI or related field; Master's preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI technologies, governance, and risk.
• Strong portfolio and experience managing cross‑functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise AI governance, portfolio management, and adoption strategies.
• Oversee AI intake, evaluation, prioritization, and lifecycle management.
• Partner with leaders to identify AI opportunities delivering measurable value.
• Manage AI portfolio roadmap, risks, and resource utilization.
• Guide build, buy, partner, or hybrid delivery decisions.
• Define KPIs and monitor portfolio health and value realization.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR, and others on Responsible AI.
