Summit Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Principal Accountant to support the Shared Services and Operations Accounting team. You will review journal entries and reconciliations, perform analysis, and assist with month-end close and special projects.

The role blends leadership with hands-on accounting work, collaborating with FP&A, Regulatory, Operations, and Audit teams. Hybrid/remote option available for Texas-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years in a regulated utility preferred; CPA or CPA track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and close processes.
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory filings as needed.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Regulatory, and Operations on results and issues.
