Principal Account Executive (Net New) - Financial Services and Insurance

Overview

The Principal Account Executive will focus on driving net new business within the Financial Services and Insurance (FINS) industry, specializing in content services solutions. This role involves building relationships with enterprise clients, managing complex sales cycles, delivering tailored solutions, and exceeding sales targets while providing value to customers in the FINS sector.

What you will be doing
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to surpass quotas, identify opportunities, and prioritize high-impact potential customers or partners.
  • Create accurate, real-time sales forecasts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to potential clients, maintaining strategic relationships with senior leadership and developing long-term pipelines.
  • Educate potential customers on the company's solutions, driving customer needs and creating opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales engineers on software demonstrations and participate actively.
  • Record all customer interactions and opportunities in the CRM.
  • Stay informed on market trends and best practices to influence and educate executives on future needs.
  • Engage support resources to advance opportunities and develop RFP responses.
  • Build internal relationships to enhance sales execution.
  • Participate in trade shows and tailor strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Develop closing strategies for key accounts, lead negotiations, and ensure timely deal closure.
  • Contribute as a thought leader, mentor team members, and uphold data security policies.
What will make you successful
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Deep sales expertise, particularly in FINS and content services solutions.
  • Proven success in exceeding sales quotas and leveraging MEDDPICC methodology.
  • Experience in prospecting, cold calling, and managing complex sales environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and gain consensus across departments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Salary range: $137,000 - $194,000 plus variable compensation and benefits.
