Job summary

Primoris is seeking an Entry-level Groundman to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines. You will assist linemen, prepare materials, operate basic tools, and help maintain a safe, organized work site across various project locations.

You will work under experienced linemen, perform manual tasks, and participate in safety briefings while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Class D Driver's License; a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) frequently.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and challenging terrains.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and the ability to learn and adhere to industry standards.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform various manual labor tasks, including digging trenches, moving poles, and clearing brush.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools under supervision.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Ensure proper grounding and safety procedures are followed on site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions precisely.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and pre-job hazard assessments.
• Assist with traffic control and flagging duties as needed.
