Job summary

Primoris T&D is seeking motivated Groundmen/Entry-Level Lineworkers to join our Tampa Bay area team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the electrical utility industry with hands-on training alongside experienced lineworkers, supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power systems.

You will assist with preparing materials, handling tools, and maintaining a safe/efficient worksite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Follow safety requirements and learn utility-industry procedures.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must complete all pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineworkers with preparing and organizing tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform general labor duties, including digging, moving materials, setting up job sites, and clearing brush.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from company vehicles.
• Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical systems.
• Follow all grounding, job-site safety, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and pre-job hazard assessments.
• Assist with traffic control and flagging duties when needed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and crew members.
• Travel to project locations and work extended hours as required.
