Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards while assisting with department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other operational tasks. This is a fast-paced role requiring attention to detail and a passion for guest experience.

The position pays $16.56–$19.43 per hour, with benefits including discounts, 401K, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items and assist guests in finding products and complete meal solutions
• Handle, slice, expertly cut, and trim a variety of department meat and seafood products while managing quality per standards
• Monitor the temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas
• Enforce safety and food safety procedures and follow receiving, stocking, and unloading practices to ensure freshness
