Job Summary

This position focuses on managing members with specialty (ONCOLOGY) diagnoses. It involves performing all functions of case management (CM) and serving as a primary contact for members, healthcare personnel, and other involved entities. The primary nurse case administrator provides care coordination, identifies treatment options, consults with physicians and providers, evaluates services, promotes quality and cost-effective outcomes, and acts as a liaison. The role also includes educating members, introducing them to website tools, and facilitating care coordination for identified members.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of operation
• At least 4 years of clinical practice, including 3 years in recent Oncology clinical care
• Knowledge of oncology drugs, therapies, treatment protocols, side effects, and complications
• Current certification in OCN, ONS, ONCC, AOCN, CPON, or AOCNP
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and database management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of utilization management, case management, and disease management activities
• Familiarity with ancillary services like HHC, SNF, Hospice
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Possession of multi-state nursing licenses if required, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed
• Knowledge of treatment protocols, side effects, and dietary considerations
• Current certification as a specialist must be maintained

Preferred Job Requirements:

• RN Compact License
• Oncology Certification
• CCM certification (preferred)
• Experience managing complex or catastrophic cases
• Inpatient and outpatient experience
• One year of care management experience in a health insurance or managed care setting
• Knowledge of medical management policies and procedures
• One year of education experience in the specialty area

This is a telecommute (remote) role: must reside within 250 miles of the office or anywhere within the state.

Base Pay Range:

$69,200.00 - $146,700.00
