Job Summary

This position's primary focus is managing members with specialty (ONCOLOGY) diagnoses. The primary responsibilities include performing case management functions, acting as the main contact for members, healthcare providers, and other involved entities. The role involves care coordination, evaluating treatment options, consulting with physicians and members, promoting quality and cost-effective outcomes, and serving as a liaison. The nurse case administrator provides education, introduces members to website tools, educates about their condition, and facilitates care coordination.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of operation
• At least 4 years of clinical practice, including 3 years in recent oncology clinical care
• Knowledge of oncology drugs, therapies, treatment protocols, side effects, and complications
• Current certification in OCN, ONS, ONCC, AOCN, CPON, or AOCNP
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and database management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Utilization Management, Case Management, Disease Management activities, and standardized criteria
• Familiarity with ancillary services like HHC, SNF, Hospice
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical skills, and effective communication
• Multi-state nursing licenses if applicable, with management-provided support for additional licenses
• Understanding of drugs, treatment protocols, diets, and problem-solving skills
• Maintaining current certifications as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• RN Compact License
• Oncology Certification
• CCM certification (preferred)
• Experience managing complex health cases
• Inpatient and outpatient experience
• 1-year experience in health insurance/managed care care management
• Knowledge of medical management policies and procedures
• Experience in specialty area education

This is a remote role: candidates must reside within 250 miles of the office or within the state.

Base Pay Range: $69,200.00 - $146,700.00
