Job Summary

This position primarily manages members with specialty (ONCOLOGY) diagnoses. Responsibilities include performing case management functions, serving as the primary contact for members, healthcare personnel, and other involved entities. The nurse case administrator coordinates care, evaluates treatment options, consults with physicians and members, promotes quality and cost-effective outcomes, and acts as a liaison. The role also involves educating members about their conditions, introducing website tools, and facilitating care coordination.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of operation
• At least 4 years of clinical practice, including 3 years in recent Specialty (ONCOLOGY) clinical care
• Knowledge of specialty diagnosis drugs, therapies, protocols, side effects, and complications
• Current certification in OCN/ONS/ONCC/AOCN/CPON/AOCNP
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and database management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of UM/CM/DM activities and criteria
• Familiarity with ancillary services such as HHC, SNF, Hospice
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
• For multi-state licensed positions, ability to obtain and maintain additional licenses; fees covered by HCSC
• Knowledge of drugs, treatment protocols, diets, and health management strategies
• Ability to establish SMART goals and promote healthy coping mechanisms
• Maintaining current certifications as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• RN Compact License
• Oncology Certification
• CCM certification (preferred)
• Experience managing complex health cases
• Inpatient and outpatient experience
• One year in Care Management within a health insurance or managed care setting
• Knowledge of medical management policies and procedures
• Experience in Specialty area education

This position is remote, requiring residence within 250 miles of the office or anywhere within the state.

Base Pay Range: $69,200.00 - $146,700.00
