Baptist Health Care is seeking a Referral Coordinator for the East Hill area in Pensacola, FL. This full-time role supports referrals and procedure orders from providers, initiates authorizations, and ensures accurate documentation of insurance coverages and patient interactions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in healthcare or a medical office. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are essential to succeed.

Mansioni

• Maintains responsibility for timely processing of incoming and/or outgoing referrals and orders.
• Documents all phone calls, messages and interactions with patients and insurance companies appropriately in the patient’s chart or applicable order systems.
• Obtains prior authorizations for all appointments and procedures.
• Updates any patient demographics into the practice management system.
• Verifies health insurance eligibility and understands copays, co-insurance and deductibles, as applicable.
• Explains financial requirements to patients or responsible parties and collects patient financial portions (copays/coinsurance), as applicable.
• Operates a variety of office equipment effectively.
• Works closely with Baptist Medical Group Representatives, all medical facilities, insurance companies, patients and family members.
