Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board certification in an approved core specialty preferred for faculty status.
• Eligible for VA appointment and meet residency requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a panel of outpatients.
• Evaluate acute and chronic health problems and develop care plans.
• Document history, exam findings, diagnosis and disposition clearly.
• Order appropriate labs, imaging and referrals; interpret results.
• Coordinate patient care with specialty services and nursing staff.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and follow-up.
• Participate in teaching and clinical precepting as assigned.
