Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a physician at Hampton VA Medical Center to provide comprehensive medical care in their subspecialty with clinical privileges and leadership responsibilities. Qualifications

• Must meet basic physician requirements including US citizenship or eligible status.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States or D.C.
• Completion of residency in an approved core specialty; board certification or equivalent.
• Experience in Primary Care preferred; clinical leadership and teaching experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of medical services within subspecialty as assigned.
• Perform evaluations, diagnoses and treatments;order diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure charting and documentation meet VA standards and HIPAA policies.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent
