Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatrician for its Wooster office. This role involves providing primary care to children and teens, with a focus on patient-centered medical home practices. Akron Children's Pediatrics (ACP) provides pediatric primary care for babies, children, and teens across many northeast Ohio communities through our 40+ pediatric offices. We are seeking a full-time BE/BC pediatrician to join our newly acquired Ontario practice as it continues to grow. The Wooster office has 4 experienced physicians and 2 nurse practitioners. This outpatient role includes after-hours call and Saturday office hours, shared among providers. Calls are screened by our excellent after-hours nurse triage line, handling over 90% of calls.
This position is a 501(c)(3) site, qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the federal government.
Our offices follow standard hospital policies while maintaining the local culture of each practice. We utilize EPIC, a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified, emphasizing the Patient-Centered Medical Home model, which enhances patient relationships, improves quality, patient experience, staff satisfaction, and reduces healthcare costs.
