Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver primary care services in a non-acute setting. You will work in a physician office with weekend and on-call rotations, and contribute to a population health initiative that ties base compensation to a quality-based bonus.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, coordinate with the team, and educate patients while adhering to HIPAA and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Current PA license or board eligibility required.
• Substitutions: 4–10 years related experience and/or training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Record patient history and perform physical assessments.
• Develop and monitor therapeutic care plans and orders.
• Coordinate patient care with family and interdisciplinary team.
• Prepare prescription orders and ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate patients on health and treatment instructions.
• Triages telephone calls and ensures continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
