Job summary

BestMed Clinics in Klamath Falls, Oregon, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver outpatient primary care in a multi-disciplinary setting. You will provide patient-centered evaluations, procedures, and referrals with an emphasis on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA in good standing in the U.S. or eligible to obtain in Oregon.
• Experience in primary care or occupational medicine is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care including routine exams and procedures.
• Deliver comprehensive treatment plans and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, and communicate goals clearly.
• Document accurately in the EMR with proper coding and CDI considerations.
• Support occupational and telemedicine patient care as appropriate.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and imaging review.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an primary care setting
• Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
• Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
• Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director

What’s Required:

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in thestateor the ability to obtain
• Ability to obtain:
• DOT certification within60 daysof hire
• DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
