Montes Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Primary Care Medical Scribe to support physicians across Inglewood, East LA, and Whittier offices. This in-person role focuses on accurate documentation to improve provider efficiency and patient care.

The position requires bilingual English/Spanish capability, a high school diploma, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Pay is hourly with benefits listed below.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• At least 18 years old.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation for physicians.
• Accompany providers during patient visits to accurately document patient history, ROS, exams, and plans in the EMR.
• Update patient histories, exam findings, and other pertinent health information.
• Submit documentation to physicians for review, authentication, and approval.
• Monitor medical charts for timely completion (H&Ps, ROS, labs, ECGs, progress notes, diagnoses).
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records.
• Assist with coding documentation and clinic workflow.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and a secure work environment.

This job opening is for a travel Medical Scribe position to support the physician at our Inglewood, East LA, and Whittier offices.

About the position:

The Medical Scribe works closely with the providers to accurately document patient encounters and ensure medical records are complete, timely, and compliant. This role plays a critical part in improving provider efficiency and supporting high-quality patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation for physicians.
• Accompany providers during patient visits to accurately document patient history, review of systems, physical examinations, assessments, treatment plans, and procedures within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Update patient histories, physical examination findings, and other pertinent health information.
• Submit documentation to physicians for review, authentication, and approval.
• Monitor medical charts to ensure timely completion, including:
• History and physical exams
• Review of systems
• Laboratory and diagnostic results
• ECGs
• Progress and procedure notes
• Diagnoses and treatment plans
• Discharge documentation and provider signatures
• Return incomplete charts to physicians for completion as needed.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records.
• Assist with diagnostic and procedure coding documentation.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties that improve provider productivity and clinic workflow.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Promote a safe, secure, and professional work environment.

Requirements:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, typing, writing, speaking, and carrying up to 25 pounds.

Preferred:

• Interest or intention for RN/PA/NP/MD school
• Some proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures
