Job summary

ProHealth Partners in Lakewood, CA is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to document patient encounters in real-time and manage electronic health records. Prior Gastroenterology exposure is preferred, with a focus on accurate, timely charting.

The role supports clinicians, helps streamline workflows, and ensures quality patient care with 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. CPR certification and MA training are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• In school for an NP/PA/MD preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Equivalent work experience.
• CPR certification.
• Some experience in Medical Scribe.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient visits and interactions in real-time.
• Manage and organize electronic health records.
• Assist healthcare providers in streamlining workflow and enhancing patient care.
• Prepare and update patient charts before and after appointments.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Assist with follow-up appointments and patient inquiries.
• Support the implementation of clinical protocols and workflows.
• Locate information for review (i.e., previous notes, reports, test results, and laboratory).
• Knowledgeable and proficient in medical terminology.

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We are currently looking to hire a Medical Scribe in the city of Lakewood, CA. Experience in Gastroenterology preferred. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters and ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

Job Type: Part-time, Direct Hire

Pay: $23-24 per hour

Hours: 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday
