Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program prior to start date/transfer or equivalent Military experience with ability to obtain MA-I prior to start date.
• Interim Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) required at hire OR Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) required at hire.
• Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health status data and vital signs.
• Record data in the medical record and communicate urgent needs.
• Contribute to nursing care plans and implement them safely.
• Instruct patients and families about care and services.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
