Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Washington is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a world-class care team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences. The MA will work with nurses, physicians, PAs, and NPs to support comprehensive care, education, and preventive services for patients across the state.

Essential responsibilities include data collection, vital signs, patient education, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program prior to start date/transfer or equivalent Military experience with ability to obtain MA-I prior to start date.
• Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 12 months of hire; Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects data about health status, vital signs, and patient information.
• Communicates with patients and team members to coordinate care and educate patients/families.
• Provides patient instruction aligned with the nursing care plan and preventive care information.
• Documents history, observations, and procedures accurately in the medical record.
• Participates in orientation and performance reviews as part of the team.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 12 months of hire
