Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team in Enfield, CT. The MA will support examinations, testing, and procedures while maintaining accurate records and smooth patient transitions.

Responsibilities include patient intake, assisting clinicians, processing orders and documentation, and performing procedures such as EKGs and phlebotomy. The role offers a clear career ladder and a 40-hour work week with no weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• MA ladder (MAI/MAII/MAIII/MAIV) with progressive experience levels.
• MA program graduate preferred or demonstrated MA competencies.

Responsibilities

• Room patients for intake, record vitals and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Process orders, refills, and prior authorizations; document data.
• Perform phlebotomy and immunizations per policy.
• Review discharge instructions and coordinate follow-up.
