Job summary

Baystate Health invites applications for a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Primary Care team in Wilbraham, MA. The role supports patient intake, clinical assistance and documentation, working with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with examinations, phlebotomy and immunizations, and coordinating referrals and follow-ups. A career ladder with MA I–IV levels applies, with credentialing through ARMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS from American Heart Association required.
• Career ladder: MAI–MAIV levels based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients for intake, gather vitals, and document histories.
• Prepare treatment rooms, chaperone patients, assist providers.
• Process prescription refills, obtain prior authorizations, and document data.
• Perform EKGs, vision/hearing screenings, and phlebotomy/immunizations.
• Review discharge instructions and coordinate referrals.
