Baystate Health in Wilbraham, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary staff to ensure smooth patient transitions, accurate medical records, and support during examinations, testing and procedures.

The position offers a structured career ladder, with MA I-IV levels and criteria for credentialing; includes a 40-hour work week, shift 8:30a-5p, no weekends or holidays, and a sign-on bonus for eligible external hires.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• MA program completion or demonstrated MA I/II/III competencies with experience as outlined by Baystate Health.
• Certified Medical Assistant licensure or third‑party credentialing per Baystate Health policy.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients for intake, record vitals, review histories, and document medications in the EHR.
• Prepare treatment rooms, chaperone patients, and assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Process prescription refills, obtain prior authorizations, and document data within required timeframes.
• Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and conduct basic in-office procedures per policy.
• Review discharge instructions, provide educational resources, and schedule follow-ups.
