Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to work on site at 1 Widger Road, Marblehead, MA 01945. The MA will support healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers.

The practice operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, on-site. This role involves taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow, with potential phlebotomy duties

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Licenses: BLS preferred; National MA Certification preferred.
• Experience: Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, and record data in the medical record.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Explain procedures, medications, and instructions to patients; prepare materials for education.
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison with other departments to aid patients.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and ensure vaccination expiration checks.
