Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification within 120 days of hire if program completed within five years or one year MA experience.
• Certification options include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepare and room patients and obtain vital signs per workflow.
• Review medications, tobacco use, and patient history; document in EHR.
• Support orders, screenings, refills, and age-appropriate procedures per protocol.
• Assist with examinations and procedures; may serve as a scribe with training.
• Maintain exam room readiness and inventory; sterilize instruments as required.
