Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for Primary Care in Wexford, PA. On-site role supporting exam preparation, vital signs, medication review, and pre/post visit workflows.

The MA assists in exams, may serve as a scribe, and ensures patient follow-up and accurate documentation in the EHR. CPR and state clearances are required, with certification targeted within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification requirements: individuals who have graduated from a medical assistant program within five years or have one year of MA experience must complete certification testing within 120 days of hire.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in a related field.
• Additional requirements: CPR – American Heart Association; background/clearance certificates as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients within clinical workflows.
• Accurately obtain vital signs and document patient information.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist with examinations and procedures; may act as a scribe.
• Provide follow-up with patients via preferred method per provider instructions.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure stock of medical supplies.
