University Health seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant to provide brief consultative visits and develop behavioral change plans that support medical treatment. You will refer patients to UHMWI specialty providers and work with a care team within a primary care setting.

Responsibilities include triaging patients, coordinating with clinicians, and supporting organization-wide behavioral health integration initiatives. Texas licensure and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed LMFT/LPC/LCSW/Psy.D./Ph.D. with Texas license.
• Experience in medical settings or team-based care preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish desirable.

Responsabilités

• Prioritize on-demand visits and manage scheduled visits for individuals, couples, or families.
• Use behavioral and cognitive behavioral modalities, motivational interviewing, and other brief therapies.
• Provide consultation and coordinate care with primary care staff.
• Consult with PCPs in real time to support treatment planning.
• Adhere to workflow and charting requirements.
• Be flexible to work across sites and assist in team training.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and local trainings.
• Make referrals to psychiatric specialists as needed.
• Attend case staffing and clinical supervision meetings.
• Engage in community outreach and clinic events as required.
• Perform other duties to support UHMWI mission and values.
• Demonstrate competence in age-specific customer care.
