Job summary

IMS Care Center LLC is hiring a Back Office Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic in Buckeye, AZ. You will assist patients and families before, during, and after visits, working alongside physicians and nurses to keep the clinic running smoothly.

The role requires 1–3 years of MA experience, strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and EMR/scheduling software proficiency. On-site employment with benefits and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, or passage of the Medical Assistant examination.
• Experience with office medical procedures and treatments and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software.
• Must have knowledge of and always follow HIPAA guidelines and secure Protected Health Information.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and review patient history.
• Prepare and clean room for patient and get patient ready for physician encounter.
• Perform a variety of office-based testing and treatments under clinician supervision.
• Coordinate and manage patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support with patient documentation and billing information; schedule follow-up visits.
