Job summary

Integrated Medical Services (IMS) is seeking a professional Medical Assistant for our Goodyear Primary Care clinic. The role supports patients and families before, during, and after visits, working with physicians, nurses and staff to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Travel to other IMS clinics in Payson and Prescott is required. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing the room, assisting with office testing, coordinating referrals and scheduling, and addressing

Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Bilingual strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• EMR (Athena) experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients
• Take vitals/review patient history
• Prepare and clean room for patient and get patient prepared for the physician encounter
• Performs a variety of office‑based testing and treatments related to patient care under supervision
• Coordinates and manages patient care including pre‑certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital and other ancillary medical treatments and tests
• Resolve patient concerns promptly
