Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Patient Care Medical Assistant to support Mercy Primary Care Providers.

You will contribute to safe, timely, and patient-centered care while collaborating with patients and the care team to improve outcomes. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA program training, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mercy Primary Care Providers with patient care tasks.
• Support care team to drive quality outcomes for patients.
• Collaborate with patients, providers and other care team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and communication.

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic
New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training
