Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support a client’s healthcare facility in Toms River, NJ. The role involves routine blood collection, specimen labeling, and processing in a fast-paced clinical setting. On-site position with a local contract of 3 months or more.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, ensuring accuracy with requisitions, and maintaining proper specimen handling and documentation. Candidates should have a HS diploma and 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience.

• Demonstrate phlebotomy techniques using straight or butterfly needles.
• Match physician orders to requisitions; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Verify test requisitions or labels against the script to ensure accuracy (100%).
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures.

Job Details

• Schedule: M-F 8-4, SAT 7-1, HOURS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
• Location: Toms River NJ 08755
• Float / Coverage Area: Job Type: Local contract
• Contract Length: 3 Months+
• Pay Range: $24.51 -$26.27/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience,expertise, credentialing, and education.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required.
