Qualifications

Job description

The Manager, Pricing delivers end-to-end support of industry RFPs and lead generation. Candidates should be detail-oriented professionals with strong analytical backgrounds and demonstrate both the critical thinking and fuel industry experience required to guide business decisions to the desired outcome through actionable reporting and team development.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee new lead development for government agencies and other "low-touch" or data-driven customer types.
• Analyze market trends to support strategic purchasing and sales decisions.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to produce competitive bids and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to deliver optimal results in RFP process.
• Prepare and present regular reports for senior management, summarizing key findings and recommending data-driven business actions.
• Ensure the accuracy of all commercial data consumed by the sales organization.
• Ensures pricing practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local fuel tax and pricing regulations.
• Maintains compliance with all PTL policies and procedures

Management Functions:

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
• Selects, trains, develops, and evaluates staff; addresses performance issues in a timely manner in partnership with HR
• Communicates goals, priorities, and organizational changes to direct reports
• Set goals for individual team members and area of oversight that align to company strategic goals
• Appraise team members performance against individual, departmental, and company goals and provide constructive and timely feedback to improve performance when needed
• Monitors and manages budget/cost center responsibilities for area of oversight
• Monitors, managers, and approves overtime for hourly team members where applicable, PTO requests, and leaves of absence for team members in Workday
• Ensures compliance with company policy and applicable regulations within area of responsibility
• Address complaints and resolve problems, up to and including recommending disciplinary action or termination in partnership with HR
• Strategic pricing and margin analysis

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in wholesale fuel/petroleum pricing, commodity pricing, or related financial/pricing analysis; prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with pricing/rack pricing systems and market data services (e.g., OPIS/Platts, AXXIS, PM.net, or similar) preferred
• Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
• Strong understanding of wholesale fuel supply chain dynamics, rack pricing mechanisms, and fuel tax structures

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
