Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking a Manager of Pricing Excellence & Commercial Analytics to lead pricing, costing, and customer tier strategy across channels, partnering with NPD and Operations to boost margins.

The role will deliver rigorous financial models, ad hoc strategic analysis for CFO and ELT, and actionable recommendations while upholding safety and company values. This position offers exposure to strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial modeling, pricing analysis, margin management, or corporate finance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining complex, dynamic financial models.
• Experience building business cases and presenting financial analysis directly to executives, including CFOs or senior leadership.
• Strong analytical foundation in cost analysis, capital allocation, or valuation, with the ability to connect pricing, cost, and strategic decisions to margin and enterprise value.
• Comfortable operating across a mix of recurring analytical work and ad hoc strategic projects, including evaluating outside companies or investment opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and work within our Company Values.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pricing across the product portfolio relative to brand positioning and market benchmarks.
• Develop pricing models and recommendations to inform go-to-market pricing decisions.
• Build business cases and executive materials to support pricing decisions, quantifying financial impact.
• Partner with New Product Development and Operations on cost initiatives that support company margin objectives.
• Build costing and margin-bridge models to evaluate product-level profitability.
• Maintain an ongoing view of portfolio margin health and pricing/cost positioning by product and category.
• Provide recommendations on the financial performance of the product portfolio to support strategic decision-making.
• Translate complex financial analysis into clear, decision-ready recommendations for finance and non-finance audiences.
• Responsible for environmental health and safety principles, and participate in safety and productivity improvements.
• Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
