Job summary

Textron Systems invites a Pricing & Estimating Intern to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. You will support cost proposals, analyze estimates, and prepare narratives under FAR guidelines, gaining hands-on experience with our proposal process.

The internship offers mentorship, training, and real project work to help you build professional skills and confidence for a future career in finance and accounting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Ability to obtain a security clearance is required
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills are a plus and ability to learn new software quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Basic knowledge of General Accounting processes and procedures

Responsibilities

• Support proposal team members in developing cost proposals
• Ensure fully-supported, compliant proposals are current, accurate and complete per FAR and policy
• Analyze labor hour, material and travel estimates
• Input data into ProPricer and generate reports
• Write proposal narratives
• Assist in preparing management review slides
• Support customer fact-finding, negotiations and audits
• Follow established procedures under general direction
