Job summary

Textron Systems invites applications for a 2027 Intern - Financial Analyst at Hunt Valley, MD (Sea Systems). This 10-week, paid internship offers hands-on experience with budgets, forecasts, EACs, and Earned Value reports, alongside mentorship and real project work.

We seek a candidate pursuing or holding a Finance-related bachelor’s degree, strong Excel skills, and the ability to interact with management. On-site roles include structured training, with flexible scheduling at select locations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; <2 years experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with management
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Self-starter with the ability to assimilate data into reports
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work with other Finance and Accounting functions

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis, maintain forecasts, and provide EACs for Textron Systems.
• Participate in projects related to monthly budgets, cost projections, and sales and profit estimates, plus Earned Value reports.
• Maintain program measurement control systems.
• Create and maintain standard financial reports for the finance team and other functions.
• Provide day-to-day support to the program finance team.
• Establish and maintain baselines and EACs in the Earned Value tool (MPM).
• Analyze program trend data for ETC validity checks.
• Provide real time information to management regarding EAC swings and program updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
